MITCHELL, S.D. – The Valley City State golf teams concluded the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invite Tuesday hosted at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell, S.D.
 
The Viking men finished in a tie for eighth place out of nine teams after carding a 654 (316-338) at the tournament. VCSU's women placed fifth out of five teams with a two-day 710 (347-363) team score.
 
On the women's side, Sydney Carlson fired a 169 to open the spring season (81-88) and finished in 13^th place overall. Kathleen Vetter carded a 176 (86-90) to place 20^th. Sydney Staus finished in 27^th with a 181 (88-93) and Winter Oldrock rounded out the Viking women with a 184 (92-92) to place 28^th.
 
Owen Haase carded a 156 (77-79) to lead the Viking men with a 17^th place finish while Zach St. Aubin totaled a 157 (75-82) to place 18^th. Wyatt Meisch totaled a two-day 170 (79-91) while Jacob Hendrickson followed with a 171 (85-86) and Howard Neustel added a 177 (86-91).
