The Valley City State University athletic department features an extensive strength and conditioning program for all sports, headed by a full-time strength and conditioning coach. All VCSU student-athletes have access to the main weight training area at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse, along with a secondary weight room at Graichen Gymnasium.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Valley City State University strength & conditioning department is to positively impact all student-athletes by helping them accomplish their goals in a safe and challenging training environment.
This is achieved through the design and implementation of year-round training programs that include principles of strength training, speed and agility, energy system development and recovery methods.
Education will be the daily focus for student-athletes. Increasing an understanding on why the methodologies being implemented will be critical to develop performance and serve the overall welfare of the student-athletes.
