VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Valley City State University men's and women's golf will compete in the United Printing Marauders Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 28–29, at Hawktree Golf Club in Bismarck. The University of Mary hosts the tournament, with play expected to begin at 10 a.m. Monday.

The Vikings enter the week after competing at the Comets Frontier Invitational. Nick Meisch led the VCSU men with a three-round total of 234, improving his score each round and tying for 22nd. Owen Haase followed one stroke behind, while Jace Fyre posted the Vikings' lowest round of the tournament with a closing 73. 

Haase and Meisch have both been among VCSU's top performers this fall. At the Spartan Invitational earlier this month, Haase won the individual title with a 147, Meisch finished second at 148, and the Viking men claimed the team championship.

On the women's side, Sadie Neustel has led the Vikings in each of their last three tournaments. She won individual titles at the Blue Hawk Fall Invitational and Spartan Invitational before placing 12th at the Comets Frontier Invitational. Ally Larson also earned a runner-up finish at the Spartan Invitational, giving VCSU another golfer to watch in Bismarck.
