Viking golfers
Sydney Carlson,
Kathleen Vetter and
Owen Haase each earned Honorable Mention All-Conference Tuesday after the conclusion of the NSAA Championships.

The 72-hole tournament was made up of 36 holes at the NSAA Fall Championships played at CrossRoads Golf Club in Carrington, N.D. and 36 holes at the NSAA Spring Championships played at Woodland Hills Golf Course in Eagle, Neb.

Carlson finished in ninth place overall after carding a 329 (83-82-83-81), marking her third straight All-Conference finish after earning 2
nd Team All-Conference as a freshman and Honorable Mention All-Conference as a sophomore.

Vetter finished in 13
th place with a 348 (80-77-95-96) total. Vetter has earned her second straight Honorable Mention All-Conference honor after placing ninth in the conference last season.

Haase finished in 10
th place at the NSAA Championships to earn his first career Honorable Mention All-Conference honor. Haase fired a 308 (75-73-80-80) including a career-best 73 in the second round of the tournament.

Sydney Staus finished in 17
th place overall after carding a 381 (90-90-108-93) followed by
Winter Oldrock in 18
th with a 383 (95-87-107-94).
Sarah Monilaws rounded out the Viking women's team score with a 269 (137-132) but did not compete in the fall.

VCSU's women placed fourth out of four teams after Mayville did not register a team score in the final round. VCSU totaled a 1449 team score (348-336-397-368) at the 72-hole tournament. Bellevue won the team title with a 1213 (284-292-322-315) team score. The Bruins' Maria Pinedo won individual medalist honors with a 295 (68-71-75-81).

On the men's side,
Jacob Hendrickson finished in 17
th place overall after carding a 345 (88-81-87-89) followed by
Wyatt Meisch in 18
th who totaled a 361 (92-88-95-86).
Zach St. Aubin posted three rounds (77-95-83) to contribute to VCSU's team score while
Howard Neustel recorded two rounds in the spring (83-90) and
Alex McBride posted two rounds in the fall (93-90).

The Viking men placed fifth out of five teams with a 1355 team score (332-332-349-342). Bellevue won the men's team title after posting a 13-under-par 1139 team score (281-269-298-291). Cayden Wynn earned individual medalist honors with an 11-under-par 277 (71-65-73-68).Â

Vetter and St. Aubin were also recognized as VCSU's Champions of Character which is presented to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program: respect, integrity, servant leadership, sportsmanship and responsibility.
