The Valley City State men's golf team opened its spring season against Dickinson State Sunday at the Wigwam Blue Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz. VCSU fell to the Blue Hawks 343-328 at the par-70, 6,373-yard course.
 
VCSU was led by Zach St. Aubin who placed fourth in the field of 10 golfers. St. Aubin carded an 84 on the day and was trailed by Jacob Henrickson and Owen Haase who each posted an 85 to tie for fifth place. Hendrickson carded two birdies in the spring opener.
 
Wyatt Meisch placed seventh with an 89 on the day and Howard Neustel rounded out VCSU's scoring with a 93 to place 10th.
