MOORHEAD, MN – The Valley City State Track and Field team had a good showing at the Cobber Alumni Open at Concordia College in Moorhead.
All totaled, the Vikings had eleven top three finishes.
For the Men, the Vikings took the top five spots in the 1000 Meters led by
Zach Baumgartner who took first with a time of 2:44.22.
Kole Albers was second with a time of 2:50.34. Tate Minihan was third with a time of 2:51.12.
In the 4x200 Relay, the Men's team of
Aaron Cutshall,
Porter Granger,
Brock Norton, and Jeffry Rosinski placed second with a time of 1:38.34. Norton took second in the 400 Meters with a time of 54.35.
Jordan Mount was second in the 200 Meters with a time of 23.15.
In the 4x400, the team of
Aaron Cutshall,
Cameron Champagnie,
Parker Jacobson, and
Porter Granger placed third with a time of 3:54.72.
On the Women's side,
Billie Maye Pohlkamp took first in the 1000 Meters with a time of 3:38.08. Teammate
Paiton Flick was second with a time of 3:46.80.
Caitlin Amrbrust was second in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.65m.
Carlee Fuchs was third in the Weight Throw with a throw of 14.38m.
The Vikings have two meets again next weekend with the UND Indoor Multi and Open in Grand Forks. They are will also have athletes at the SDSU Open Meet in Brookings, South Dakota.
