DICKINSON, N.D. – Valley City State competed in its first Frontier Conference meet of the season, and thanks to a strong third round placed seventh as a team.
For the Men,
Owen Haase did not compete in the third round but had a strong showing in the first two rounds with a 146 (72-74) which had him 13
th after the first two rounds.
Nick Meisch carded. 1-under 71 on the final round to finish tied for 19
th with a 226 (80-75-71).
Zach St. Aubin was also tied for 19
th with a 226 (73-79-74).
Howard Neustel was 45
th with a 248 (83-82-83).
Wyatt Meisch was 50
th with a 258 (95-83-80).
John Renaud carded a 261 (84-96-81) for 51
st and
Tony Piccalo was 52
nd with a 314 (110-110-94).
Kristjan Burkelca of Rocky Mountain was the medalist with a 199 (69-65-65).
Rocky Mountain College won the tournament shooting -44 as a team, beating second place Bellevue by 19 strokes.
On the Women's,
Sydney Carlson had 165 (80-85) which put her in 20
th place.
Sadie Neustel was 23
rd with a 171 (85-86).
Winter Oldrock was 35
th with a 197 (101-96).
Grace Metcalf of Rocky Mountain College was the medalist with a 140 (70-70).
Rocky Mountain College women's was the top team at +14, 10 strokes better than Montana Tech in second place.
