FARGO, N.D. – Valley City State University track and field competed in the North Dakota State University Spring Classic on Friday, April 11.
 
The Vikings recorded one first place finish, and three top eight finishes at NDSU Spring Classic. The Vikings had the opportunity to compete against Bismarck State, Concordia Moorhead, Dickinson State, Jamestown, Minot State, Minnesota State Moorhead, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, St. Cloud State, and University of Mary.
 
Viking senior Kendra Odegard took first in a field of 34 after throwing a 42.57-meter attempt in the javelin.
 
Jordan Mount took fifth place in the 400-meter running a 49.92.
 
Aaron Cutshall jumped 6.55-meters in the long jump good for eighth place.
