Valley City State University men's basketball had four players recognized earning 2024-25 North Star Athletic Association postseason awards, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Tyrel Creger was named 2
nd Team All-Conference. Creger was also recognized as the NSAA Newcomer of the Year. Seniors
Lamar Grayson and
Shaheed Muhammad were awarded Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Donovan Tynes, a senior, was named NSAA Basketball Champion of Character.

Tyrel Creger was named NSAA Newcomer of the Year and 2
nd Team All-Conference in the 2024-25 season. Creger, originally from Owatonna, Minn., transferred to VCSU from Citrus Community College. He immediately made an impact starting in every game this season. Averaging 13.1 points per game, Creger made 44.1 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from beyond the arc. He had a team-leading 89 assists, ranked third in steals with 33, and third in rebounds with 103.

Lamar Grayson was named Honorable Mention All-Conference after starting 18 of 22 games. Grayson missed games due to injury, playing through that injury towards the end of the season. He averaged 17.0 points per game shooting 53.4 percent from the field. Grayson led the team with 373 points and was second in steals with 39.

Senior
Shaheed Muhammad was also named Honorable Mention All-Conference. Muhammad averaged 9.3 points per game shooting 34.2 percent from the three-point line. He led the team in steals with 47 and averaged 1.7 per game. He also had 52 assists, the second-most on the team.

Donovan Tynes was named VCSU's Champion of Character which is awarded to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program including respect, integrity, servant leadership, sportsmanship and responsibility.
