VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University Men's Basketball program has announced the 2026-27 schedule.

Soon the sounds of basketball's bouncing on the floor at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse will begin again. The Valley City State Men's basketball team will open the 2026-27 season at The Bubble vs. Oak Hills on October 27^th. That game kicks off the 27-game schedule for the upcoming season.

Head Coach Ryan Montgomery begins his eleventh season as the head coach of the Vikings Men's Basketball program.

The first action at the Bubble will be the annual Ragnar/Odin Intrasquad Scrimmage on Saturday, October 10^th. It is open to the public so come watch the 2026-27 Men's basketball team for the first time.

The schedule has 14 home games and 13 road games. Non-Conference opponents will be Oak Hills on October 27th, the University of Minnesota-Morris on November 4th, and Trinity Bible College on November 10^th.

The Frontier Conference opener will be on Wednesday, November 25^th at Mayville State. The Comets will be the opponent for the conference home opener on Saturday December 12^th.

The Frontier Conference Postseason tournament will be February 27^th to March 1^st in Butte, Montana, hosted by Montana Tech. The top eight teams in the twelve-team conference qualify for the postseason tournament.
