BROOKINGS, S.D. – Valley City State University earned 12 All-Conference Awards at the North Star Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championships held on Feb. 16 at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the campus of NCAA Division I South Dakota State. Athletes earning All-Conference recognition must be in the top three individually and two relay teams.
Karly Just of Valley City State (26.5 points) earned the NSAA Women's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Meet, the first Viking to win this award in program history. Just finished first in the 3000-meter and 5000-meter breaking the school record in the 5000 meter. In addition to here first place finishes she also fourth in the mile run. Just earned indoor All-Conference honors for the second and third time of her career.
Viking senior
Jasmine Barnes earned All-Conference for the fifth time in her indoor track & field career, and her first time in the mile. Barnes finished the mile run in second with a time of 5:28.77.
Emma Muggli finished the long jump in third place with a 4.96-meter attempt. Muggli, a sophomore, earned All-Conference with her effort for the third time in her career and the first time in the long jump.
Freshman,
Tayshaun Robinson finished second in the 60-meter hurdles earning All-Conference for the first time in his Viking career.
Jordan Mount delivered a Conference Title performance winning the 400-meter. Mount also finished third in the 200-meter earning All-Conference in both events as a freshman.

Zeke Barnick took second in the high jump with a 1.98 meter clearance. Barnick earns All-Conference for the first time in his career.
Cameron Champagnie delivered back-to-back Conference Titles in the triple jump and added a Conference Title in the long jump to his career. As a sophomore, Champagnie now hold three conference titles and is a four time All-Conference earner during his indoor track & field career.
Aaron Cutshall, a sophomore, earned All-Conference in in the triple jump with a 12.86-meter attempt good for a third place finish. Cutshall is now a two time All-Conference in his indoor track & field career.
The Viking 4x800-meter relay team earned All-Conference with their 8:45.49, second place performance. The Viking relay team consists of
