DICKINSON, N.D. – VCSU freshman
Jaiden Peraza picked up a pair of All-Conference honors on Friday to highlight the final day of the NSAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Peraza placed second in the high jump and third in the long jump during the meet in Dickinson, earning All-Conference in both. Peraza cleared 1.95 meters in the high jump and set a new personal record with a jump of 6.96 meters (22 feet, 10 inches) in the long jump.
The Top 3 individual finishers and the top two relays earned All-Conference at the NSAA meet. The top eight finishers in each event scored team points.
Valley City State's women totaled 75 points at the meet, finishing in fourth place out of seven teams. The Viking men finished with 61 points and took fifth place overall.
Dakota State won the men's team title with 310.5 points, followed by Dickinson State, Viterbo, Waldorf, VCSU, Iowa Wesleyan and Bellevue.
Dickinson State captured the women's title with 300 points, followed by Viterbo, Dakota State, VCSU, Waldorf, Bellevue and Iowa Wesleyan.

The Vikings had several individual fourth-place finishes during Friday's events. On the men's side,
Noah Rolfe (1500 meters),
Dom Santiago (5000 meters) and
Clay Kummer (400 hurdles) all took fourth place. For the Viking women,
Mathea Jablonsky (400 hurdles) and
Sadie Hansen (shot put) took fourth place as well.
VCSU's women had four of the top eight finishers in the shot put with Hansen taking fourth followed by
Jade Azure (6
th),
Emma Bastian (7
th) and
Kendra Odegard (8
th). Bastian and Hansen also placed fifth and sixth in the discus.

Taylor Sargent finished the meet placing in five different events as she took 3
rd in the 100 hurdles, 6
th in high jump, 7
th in both the long jump and 200 meters, and ran a leg on VCSU's fourth-place 4x100 relay team.
VCSU's Top 8 finishers that earned team points are listed below. The Vikings totaled five All-Conference performances and one conference title (
Kendra Odegard, javelin) during the two-day meet in Dickinson.
Emma Bastian and
Noah Rolfe were named the NSAA Champions of Character representatives for VCSU.
