The Valley City State University track and field teams hit the road to Brookings, S.D., this weekend, competing at the North Star Athletic Association Indoor Conference Championships.

The NSAA Championships begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings. Field events kick off the meet, and then running events begin at 10:15 a.m.

The top three finishers in each individual event, and the top two relay teams, will receive All-Conference honors. The Top 8 finishers in each event score team points. Live video and live results are available at the links below.Â

A total of seven North Star members will be competing in the conference meet on Sunday. Schools include Bellevue (Neb.), Dakota State, Dickinson State, Iowa Wesleyan, Valley City State, Viterbo (Wis.), and Waldorf (Iowa).

Valley City State has several athletes in the running for All-Conference honors and individual conference championships.
Â
Sunday is also the final opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NAIA National Championships, which will also be held in Brookings on March 2-4. VCSU currently has two athletes –
Jaiden Peraza (men's high jump) and
Taylor Sargent (women's 60 meter hurdles) – who have qualified to compete at nationals.
