Valley City State to host 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference Cross Country Championship

HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has selected Valley City State University (N.D.) to serve as the host institution for the 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, bringing the league's premier cross-country event to Valley City, North Dakota, for two consecutive seasons.  The site will be held at Valley City Town & Country Club.

VCSU will welcome the conference's men's and women's cross-country programs as student-athletes compete for Frontier Conference team and individual championships, as well as berths to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.

"The city of Valley City and Valley City State University are excited to be selected as the host institution for the 2027 and 2028 conference cross country championships," stated VCSU's Athletics Director Dennis McCulloch.  "Our university takes immense pride in providing a championship-caliber environment, and we look forward to welcoming the finest runners in the conference to our course.  This opportunity reflects our community's support and our commitment to creating a memorable postseason experience for student-athletes and fans alike."

Dates for the 2027 and 2028 conference cross country championships will be announced later.   The events will feature men's and women's championship races, conference individual awards and team championships, with automatic qualification opportunities to the NAIA National Championships.  The Frontier Conference awards one automatic bid to each winning team in the women's and men's division.

Any individual runner who places in the top 15 but is not on the championship team or at-large is also eligible for consideration as an automatic or at-large entrant at the national cross-country meet.  The Frontier Conference may receive up to four individual at-large bids.

Additional information regarding the championship venue, course maps, race times and spectator information will be announced closer to each championship date.
