DICKINSON, N.D. – The Valley City State Softball team had three players earn All-Conference awards and one player received a Gold Glove for her defensive prowess. The Frontier Conference announced their inaugural 2026 Softball All-Conference teams, Gold Glove team, and postseason awards Wednesday evening. The awards recognition was held at the Buck Auditorium in Kleinfelter Hall on the campus of Dickinson State (N.D.).
VCSU's Kennadi Stone and Maddy Hazelton earned First Team All-Conference while Madden Bogenreif earned Second Team All-Conference. Jenna Decker was named to the 2026 Frontier Conference Softball Gold Glove team.
Kennadi Stone was named First Team All-Conference for the second time in three years. Stone leads the team in batting average with a .426 mark. She is first in hits (60), doubles (20), total bases (92, tied with Madden Bogenreif), walks (30), Hit-By-Pitch (9), and on base percentage (.547). She also has 34 runs scored, four home runs, and 31 RBI.
Maddy Hazelton earned First Team All-Conference for the first time in her career, and it is her second straight All-Conference pick. Hazelton as 11-11 this season with eleven complete games and three shutouts. In 124.2 innings she struck out 126 batters and had a 3.59 ERA along with three saves.
Madden Bogenreif was named to the All-Conference Second Team in her freshman season. Bogenreif hit .344 with a team high nine home runs and 39 RBI. She led the team in runs (39) and total bases (92, tied with Kennadi Stone).
Jenna Decker was named to the Frontier Conference Softball Gold Glove Team. Decker had three outfield assists and committed just 3 errors in 78 total chances.
The 2026 Frontier Softball Postseason Tournament begins Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
(Central Time)/10 a.m. (Mountain Time). All eight teams will play one game on Thursday
and continue Friday and Saturday with loser's out and winner's bracket games.
The conference tournament is being held at Bravera Field on Sanford Sports Complex in
Dickinson. The championship game is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT)/12 p.m. (MT), with the
second championship if needed to follow.
