Valley City State University opened the 2025-26 golf season at the VCSU Invite which was played at Prairie West Golf Course in Mandan on Thursday and the Tom O'Leary Golf Course in Bismarck on Friday.

Zach St. Aubin led the way for the men tied for ninth with a two-day total 148 (81-67). He 67 on Friday tied the school record for 18 holes. Daniel Sam shot a 67 at the Benson Golf Course in Benson, Minnesota on September 18, 2014.

Owen Haase and Nick Meisch were tied for twelfth with a 151 (76-75). John Renaud carded a 164 (82-82) to finish 36^th, Wyatt Meisch shot a 168 (85-83) to finish tied for 41^st. Howard Neustel was tied for 44^th with a 172 (85-87), and Tony Piccalo shot a 218 (114-104) for 53^rd. As a team, the men placed third out of eight teams.

Jamestown took the team title. Lucas Greenlum of the University of Mary took medalist honors with a 136 (68-68), two shots over University of Jamestown's Bodi Williams.

On the women's side, Sydney Carlson tied for seventh with a 169 (87-82). Sadie Neustel tied for twelfth with a 176 (89-87). Winter Oldrock carded a 212 (111-101) to finish 22^nd.

Dickinson State won the women's title by 16 strokes over University of Jamestown Team 1.
