VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University track & field team is headed to Moorhead, Minn. on Saturday, May 3 to compete in the Cobber Open.
 
Field events including the women's hammer throw and men's discus will start the meet at 1:00 p.m. Track events are set to begin at 2:00 p.m. with the 3000-meter steeplechase.

This is the last meet on the schedule prior to the NSAA Outdoor Championships hosted in Dickinson, N.D. To this point the Vikings have one national qualifier in Kendra Odegard who has qualified in the javelin.

Vikings Tayshaun Robinson, Olivia Backus, and Jordan Mount have recorded multiple first place finishes this season and have posted numbers close to national qualifying standards.
