HELENA, Mont. – Valley City State (N.D.), Providence (Mont.), and Bismarck State (N.D.) were listed on the final edition (13
th edition) of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women's Volleyball Players-of-the-Week honors, announced Monday by the conference office.
For the second time this season, Valley City State's
Macy Fridgen earned Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week. She also was named AOTW back on October 27th. Fridgen the rest of the Vikings will be the seventh seed in the up cominh Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament to held in Helena, Montana at Carroll College November 13th through the 15th. VCSU will open with second seed Bellevue on Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time/7:00 p.m. Central Time.
Attacker of the Week: Macy Fridgen, Valley City State (N.D.)
Fridgen, a senior outside hitter from Bismarck, N.D., was chosen as the Attacker of the Week.
She set a career-high with 28 kills in Valley City State's (N.D.) 3-2 thriller over (RV) Dakota State (S.D.) in the regular-season finale. She averaged 5.6 kills per set and hit .361 in the match.
Fridgen added 13 kills (3.25 kills per set) and hit .323 in the match versus No. 7 ranked Bellevue (Neb.). It is the first time this season that she hit .300 or better in back-to-back matches.
This is Fridgen's second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Setter of the Week: Bella Thompson, Providence (Mont.)
Thompson, a senior setter from Kapahulu, Oahu, was named Setter of the Week.
She averaged 12.83 assists and 2.5 digs per set as No. 1 ranked Providence (Mont.) clinched the Frontier Conference regular season outright title for the second straight year.
Thompson collected 38 set assists (12.67 assists per set) in Argos' 3-0 sweep over Montana Western. She followed up with a double-double of 39 set assists (13.0 assists per set) and 10 digs (3.33 digs per set) in another UP's 3-0 sweep over (RV) Montana Tech.
This is Thompson's 19
th career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defender of the Week: Piper Harris, Bismarck State (N.D.)
Harris, a sophomore defensive specialist/libero from Mandan, N.D., was selected as the Defender of the Week.
She recorded 48 total digs on the final regular season weekend for the Mystics. Harris collected 22 digs (7.33 digs per set) at (RV) Carroll (Mont.) and added 26 digs (8.67 digs per set) at Rocky Mountain (Mont.).
She also contributed five set assists.
This is Harris' first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
