JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Valley City State Cross Country competed in their third event of the season at the Jimmie XC Invitational.
 
This invite featured runners from Bemidji State, Bismarck State, Concordia-Moorhead, Dakota Wesleyan, Dickinson State, Jamestown, MSU-Moorhead, Northern State, Trinity Bible College, UNA-Northern State, and Valley City State. The Viking men ran an 8K in a field of 76 runners. The Viking women ran a 6k in a field of 54 runners.
 
Karly Just once again led all Vikings with a time of 23:24.7 which was good for a third-place finish. She was followed by Jasmine Barnes with a time 24:49.2 which placed 16^th. Rounding off Viking women, Emily Hatlewick finished with a time of 32:51.8 placing 49^th. Viking women did not record a team score.
 
In the 8K Viking men were led by senior Rigo Garcia with a time of 27:33.6 good for a 29^th place finish. Viking men finished 7th of 7.
