The Valley City State cross country teams make the short trip down I-94 on Friday as they compete at a meet hosted by the University of Jamestown.
 
The Jimmie Invite is set to start at 4:40 p.m. Friday at Parkhurst Cross Country Course, which is located a few miles northwest of Jamestown off Highway 281.

The women will run a 6k race at 4:40 p.m., and the men will follow with an 8k race starting at 5:20 p.m. Teams scheduled to compete at the meet include several NAIA and NCAA Division II & III schools.
 
This is VCSU's last scheduled regular season meet prior to the North Star Athletic Association conference championships, which will be held in early November.
