VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University women's basketball team has released its 2026–27 schedule, which features 27 regular-season games and 13 opportunities for Viking fans to see the team inside W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse.

The Vikings will begin their season under the bright lights of the Corn Palace at the Dakota Wesleyan University Classic in Mitchell, South Dakota. VCSU opens against Concordia University (Neb.) at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, before facing tournament host Dakota Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

Viking fans will not have to wait long for the team's home debut. VCSU welcomes the University of Minnesota Morris to W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Trinity Bible College visits Valley City six days later for another 5:30 p.m. matchup.

The Vikings then hit the road for games against Bemidji State University on Nov. 21 and Mayville State University on Nov. 25. A trip west follows in early December as VCSU faces Montana Tech in Butte on Dec. 4 and Montana Western in Dillon on Dec. 5.

VCSU returns home for a three-game stretch before the holiday break. The Vikings host Mayville State on Dec. 12 before welcoming Dakota State and Bellevue University for back-to-back games on Dec. 18 and 19.

The new year begins with one of the season's most demanding road stretches. VCSU opens January at Dickinson State and Bismarck State College before traveling to Montana for games against the University of Providence and Montana Western.

After four consecutive games away from home, the Vikings return to W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse for four straight contests. Rocky Mountain College and Carroll College visit Valley City on Jan. 15 and 16, followed by Bismarck State and Dickinson State on Jan. 22 and 23.

VCSU closes January with road games at Bellevue University and Dakota State before returning home to begin February against Montana Western and Montana Tech on Feb. 5 and 6.

The Vikings' final regular-season road trip takes them back to Montana to face Carroll College on Feb. 12 and Rocky Mountain College on Feb. 13.

VCSU will then finish the regular season in front of its home crowd, hosting Montana State University-Northern on Feb. 19 and the University of Providence on Feb. 20.

Postseason play begins with the Frontier Conference Tournament, scheduled for Feb. 26 through March 1 at the Butte Civic Center in Butte, Montana.
