VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Valley City State University head baseball coach
Alec DeMaria has accepted the same position at his alma mater, University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
University of Mary and DeMaria announced the hiring on Wednesday, June 24.
DeMaria had been the head baseball coach at VCSU for three seasons. During his tenure as head coach the Vikings set nine team or individual school records.
Coach DeMaria was 67-89-1 in his three seasons at Valley City State. The Vikings finished runner-up to Bellevue in the Frontier Conference baseball tournament in 2026. They upset the #2 ranked Bruins 9-7 earlier in the tournament, ending the Bruins 33-game winning streak.

VCSU will move quickly to fill this position.
