VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Viking women will head back to Concordia College where they are 2-0 this season in their home away from home. VCSU will host Carroll College on Friday at 5pm and Rocky Mountain College on Saturday at 3pm.
Valley City State is 9-15 overall and 6-14 on the season in the Frontier Conference. Carroll College is 16-4 in the conference and 18-8 overall. Rocky Mountain College is 18-8 overall and 15-5 in the conference. Carroll College is ranked #25 in the most recent NAIA poll while Rocky Mountain College is #23.
The Vikings were eliminated from getting into the Frontier Conference postseason tournament when they lost to Bismarck State last weekend.
In January when Valley City State played at Carroll College, the Saints pulled out a 68-59 win over the Vikings thanks to Willa Albrecht's 35 point night.
Abby Aslesen led the Vikings with 20 points and eight rebounds.
JayCee Richter was also in double figures with eleven points.
After a close first half, Rocky Mountain College pulled away in the second half, thanks to a 17-6 third quarter.
Ellie Braaten led the Vikings with 15 points.
Abby Aslesen had ten points and
JayCee Richter had nine rebounds for VCSU.
Saturday's game will be Senior Night for the Women as they recognize five seniors.
