FARGO, N.D. – Valley City State University Track and Field competed at the North Dakota State University Bison Cup on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The Vikings recorded 14 top eight finishes, six personal bests, and one medalist at the Bison Team Cup. Valley City State competed against the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, and Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Results
Karly Just recorded a personal best, third place, and a second-fastest time in school history in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:54.16.
Emma Muggli earned fourth place in the 600-meter with a time of 1:55.35.
Caitlin Armbrust finished seventh in the triple jump with a 9.26-meter performance.
Freshman Gauge Gunther recorded a first-place finish in the men's 600 meter with a time of 1:32.24. He was followed by
Isaac Eichhorst in second with a time of 1:35.31.
Jordan Mount recorded the sixth-fastest 200m time in school history of 22.97 good for third place at the Bison Team Cup.
Tayshaun Robinson ran an 8.25 on the 60m hurdles, the third-fastest time in school history and fourth at the meet.
In the long jump, VCSU's
Aaron Cutshall earned fifth place with a 6.65-meter jump. He was followed by
Jordan Mount with a 6.42-meter jump good for seventh place.
Jagger Dickman finished seventh in the shot put with a 12.66-meter throw.
Jacob Berg earned eighth with a 11.37-meter throw.

Zach Baumgartner earned eighth in the 800 meters with at time of 2:06.71.
Garet Hoke earned eighth in the mile with a time of 5:28.33.
Zeke Barnick claimed seventh in the high jump with a successful 1.90-meter jump.
