VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Valley City State University men's basketball was up ended 72-56 by the University of Jamestown. The Vikings fall to 10-9 on the season and 1-6 in NSAA matchups. The Jimmies improve to 11-7 and 6-1 in NSAA games.
The Jimmies opened the game with an 8-0 run building an early lead. With 14 minutes remaining in the first half, they grew their lead to 10. Jamestown held a double-figure advantage steadily going into halftime with a score of 44-24.
The second half was much of the same. The Jimmies maintained their lead closing the game with a score of 72-56.
To close the contest, the Vikings shot 24-55 from the field, 7-19 from the three-point line, and 1-2 from the free throw line. VCSU was led by
Caden Grinde who scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Odier Olange tallied 10 points and five rebounds.
The Jimmies shot 29-64 from the field, 10-28 from the three-point line, and 4-6 from the free throw line. Jamestown was led by Jimmy Llinas who tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds.
