FARGO – Valley City State University Track and Field competed at North Dakota State University on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Dakota Alumni Classic.
The Vikings had an impressive five top eight finishes at in a meet with Division I and Division II level competition. Viking athletes also recorded seven personal best as well. Other schools in attendance included Augustana, Bemidji State, Bismarck State, Concordia Moorhead, Dickinson State, MSU Moorhead, University of North Dakota, Sioux Falls, University of South Dakota, and the University of Mary.
Results
Tayshaun Robinson nationally qualified reset the school record in the 60-meter hurdles that he already broke earlier this year. Robinson ran a time of 8.15 which nationally qualified for the NAIA B standard.
Jasmine Barnes placed third in the women's 800-meter finishing with a time of 2:24.29, just shy of her personal best and school record.
Jordan Mount finished fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 50.61.
Aaron Cutshall finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.74 meters. Lastly
Cameron Champagnie finished in fifth with a 13.71-meter triple jump.
