The Valley City State basketball teams have announced their schedules for the 2023-24 season.
 
The Viking men open the season with three straight home games starting Oct. 26 and 27 against Brandon University. The men's schedule also features a game at NCAA Div. I University of North Dakota on Thursday Nov. 16.
 
The Viking women will play its season opener at the University of Jamestown on Oct. 27. VCSU's women will also host the Dakota Clash Classic tournament on Nov. 17-18, featuring NSAA members Dakota State, Dickinson State and Mayville State.
 
VCSU basketball plays its first home doubleheader on Wednesday, Nov. 1, hosting the University of Minnesota Morris. The Vikings will also host Jamestown for a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday, Dec. 30 before kicking off the conference season at home against Dakota State on Friday, Jan. 12.

VCSU will play 12 conference doubleheaders this season, including six home and six away contests.

The Viking men advanced to the NSAA Semifinals last season after going 16-14 overall and 8-6 in conference play. VCSU's women finished the 2022-23 season with a 14-14 overall record and a 7-7 record in the North Star.
