Will Rakowski is in his third season as VCSU’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Rakowski began his position on Oct. 17, 2022.

Rakowski oversees the weight room and various workout programs for all 14 teams on campus. 

Rakowski previously worked as a strength and conditioning intern at VCSU. He graduated from VCSU in 2021 with a degree in exercise science, which included a concentration in strength and conditioning. Rakowski is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also CPR/AED certified. 

Rakowski was a former student-athlete at VCSU, competing two seasons as an offensive lineman with Viking football. 

Along with his internship at VCSU, Rakowski also worked as a sport performance intern at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Most recently, he was working as a strength and conditioning coach at the YMCA in Grand Forks.
