Daegen Morcom is in his first season as a student assistant coach for Viking Baseball, where he works primarily with the outfielders. Morcom played at the Okotoks Dawgs Academy in Alberta before continuing his collegiate career at McCook Community College and Valley City State University as an outfielder. He holds an Associate’s degree and an Associate of Science degree, bringing firsthand playing experience and knowledge of the game to his coaching role.
At VCSU Morcom started as on outfielder in 67 games. In the opening game of the 2025 season, Morcom hit 2 home runs and had 4 RBIs to lead the Vikings to a victory over Dakota Wesleyan University. Daegan had 49 hits and 6 homers at VCSU while playing excellent defense in centerfield.
