Ashlyn Diemert will begin here second season as the assistant coach for the Women's basketball program in 2026-27 after a decorated career as a player in basketball and softball at Valley City State University.
The West Fargo, N.D. native ended her career at VCSU fifth on the career points list with 1, 410. She is in the top ten in seven different career categories, five single season categories, and holds the school records for points in a single game, most field goal attempts in a game, most 3-pointers in a game, and best 3-point field goal shooting percentage in a game.
Diemert is in the top ten in career points scored (1,410), scoring average (13.2), free throw percentage (.788), free throws made (257), 3-point field goal percentage (.363), 3-pointers made (175), and 3-Point field goals attempted (482).
On January 18th, 2025, Diemert scored a school record 39 points against the University of Jamestown. That same game she set the school standard for 3-pointes in a a game with eleven and 3-point field percentage in a game by going 11 for 11 from behind the arc.
Diemert graduated from Valley City State University with a degree in Sports Leadership in 2025.
