Annika Seedborg enters her first year as assistant coach for the VCSU Softball program in 2022-23.

Seedborg helped the VCSU Softball program an NAIA National Tournament Opening Round appearance in 2023. The Vikings went undefeated in the NSAA Tournament to win the conference title and earn an automatic bid to nationals. VCSU went 28-23 on the season and 18-7 in conference play.

She recently completed her playing career at Mayville State University where she was a pitcher from 2019-2022. She was a three-year captain for the Comets and was a 2019 All-Conference selection. She currently holds three Mayville State softball single season records in ERA, strikeouts and wins. Seedborg will complete her degrees this fall, earning a Bachelor of Arts in applied psychology and a Bachelor of Science in sports coaching from Mayville State.

Seedborg has most recently coached 18U athletes with Diamond Academy in the Fargo-Moorhead area. As head coach of the travel team, she worked with all aspects of the game including hitting, fielding, and pitching, focusing on mental preparation and strength. Diamond Academy won the North Dakota 18A State Championship as well as the USA 18B Northern National Championship under her direction in 2022.
