The 2020 season marks PJ Peterson's second year as a graduate assistant on the VCSU coaching staff.

A native of Larimore, N.D., Peterson played for the Vikings from 2013-17. He was a three-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and was named All-Conference as an offensive lineman in both his junior and senior seasons. 

Peterson made 28 tackles as a defensive lineman during his freshman season before making the position switch to offensive line, where he earned two All-Conference honors.

Peterson graduated from VCSU with an bachelor's degree in physical education. He is currently pursuing a master's degree.
