Entering the 2025 season, Dustin Yorek is in his 7th year on the Valley City State University football coaching staff and his 5th season as Offensive Coordinator. After previously coaching the offensive line and tight ends, Yorek will shift to overseeing the quarterbacks and wide receivers beginning in 2025.
During his first season as Offensive Coordinator in 2021, Yorek helped guide the Vikings to an 8–2 overall record, a No. 15 national ranking, and eight All-Conference offensive selections.
Yorek has consistently developed high-performing offensive units, particularly in the trenches. From 2020–23, nine different offensive linemen earned All-Conference recognition, including multiple first-team honorees such as Troy Dietz, Sammy Trejo, and Nick Radunz. Dietz, Jacob Romero, and others continued that standard in recent seasons, helping establish a physical and efficient offensive front.
Prior to joining VCSU, Yorek spent five seasons with the Presentation College football program, serving as a student assistant, graduate assistant, and eventually a full-time offensive line coach. His responsibilities also included strength and conditioning support, video coordination, alumni relations, and football camps.
A former collegiate offensive lineman, Yorek played two seasons at Central Lakes College before transferring to Presentation College, where he was named All-Conference and USA Small College Football All-American as a senior.
A native of Little Falls, Minnesota, Yorek holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Presentation College and a master’s degree in Sports Management from Wayne State College. He resides in Valley City with his wife, Alyssa, and their daughter, McKinley.
