VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University volleyball team will play at W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse for the first time this season when it hosts Carroll College on Tuesday, Sept. 22. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Vikings enter the Frontier Conference matchup after a five-set victory over Rocky Mountain College on Friday. VCSU won 22-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-22 and 15-12.
Madysen Geist led the Vikings with 20 kills on 33 attacks, hitting .515, and added four total blocks. Eden Carrier contributed 12 kills with a .455 hitting percentage. Kadie Kocka finished with nine kills and 17 digs, while Annika Pulju led the defense with 23 digs.
Madden Bogenreif recorded 22 assists and two service aces against Rocky Mountain, and Gracie Schumacher added 20 assists. VCSU finished the match with 60 kills.
Carroll enters Tuesday's contest after a Monday match at Mayville State. The Fighting Saints won seven of their first 10 matches this season, including victories over Rocky Mountain, MSU-Northern and Providence.
Tuesday is the first of two scheduled meetings between the Vikings and Fighting Saints. VCSU will visit Carroll in Helena, Montana, on Oct. 23.
