VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Due cold, snow and unplayable field conditions this week, Valley City State has announced changes to its Baseball, Softball, and Track and Field Schedule.
The Vikings were schedule to host Bismarck State College in Baseball at Charlie Brown Field on Tuesday, March 31
st. Those games have been postponed. No make-up date has been set. VCSU was also scheduled to host Dakota State Friday, April 3
rd and Saturday, April 4
th for a Frontier Conference doubleheader. Those games have been rescheduled and moved. They are now scheduled to be played Monday, April 6
th and Tuesday, April 7
th in Madison, South Dakota both days game one will start at 1:00 p.m. The April 7
th game with Mayville State at Charlie Brown Field has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 14
th in Valley City. As of now, the games with Bismarck State in the capitol city next Friday and Saturday, are on as scheduled.
The Valley City State softball team was scheduled to be in Bismarck to play Bismarck State Thursday, April 2
nd and Friday, April 3
rd. Those games have been rescheduled for Wednesday April 8th and Monday April 13th in Bismarck. First pitch both days will be at 2:00 p.m.
VCSU Track and Field had two meets this weekend that have been canceled. The Vikings were going to have a partial team head to Vermillion, South Dakota for the USD Early Bird meet on Friday, April 3
rd, and Saturday, April 4
th. The rest of the team was heading to Bismarck for the Al Bortke Open. Next on the schedule is the NDSU Early Bird Invitational in Fargo next Friday and Saturday, April 10th and 11th.
