Viking football announces an additional 24 signees

VALLEY CITY, N.D – Valley City State University Football has announced an additional 24 student-athletes have signed for the upcoming 2026 season.

All 24 have signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at VCSU.

VCSU Head Coach Dennis McCulloch said "we're extremely excited about this entire group and the work that's gone into building this class. Between our signing day group and these 24 additional commits, you can really feel the momentum of where our program is headed. This group reflects exactly what we want VCSU Football to be—tough, competitive, disciplined, and built the right way. We've added quality depth locally while continuing to expand our footprint nationally with players who believe in what we're building here."

The group includes three transfers and 21 high school seniors.

The players come from nine different states. The most coming from Alaska with six. Next is North Dakota with five, California has three. Hawaii has two. And there are one each from Texas, Montana, Washington, Ohio, and South Dakota.

McCulloch adds "The guys already on campus have hit the ground running, and this entire class is going to raise the level of competition within our program. As we continue to grow in the Frontier Conference and move into a new era with our facilities, there's a lot to be excited about. We're bringing in the right people—guys who will make an impact on the field, in the locker room, and represent the Viking brotherhood the right way."

The Vikings are scheduled to open the 2026 season on the road at Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota on Thursday Aug. 27th.
