VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University Volleyball team is headed to Sioux City, Iowa to take on (RV) Morningside University and to compete in the Siouxland Invitational for additional three games.
Thursday, Aug. 21 the Vikings will face (RV) Morningside University at 6:00 PM.

Viking Volleyball started the season receiving votes in the NAIA national poll, taking on (RV) Dakota Wesleyan University where they lost 3-0. They have a strong schedule facing two top 25 teams. The Vikings fell 30-28, 25-19, and 25-22 in their first time out against DWU. In their efforts they were led by
Macy Fridgen,
Ellie Lucas, and
Danielle Hagler with seven kills each.
Morgan Freije,
Emma Lucas, and
Rosie Anderson had five kills each.
Gracie Schumacher had 19 assists and
Madden Bogenreif had 14. Defensively,
Delani Clarke led the way with 17 digs,
JayCee Richter had 16. Freiji had three solo blocks and Hagler added two.
