VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Valley City State University's
Emma Muggli earned third place and NSAA All-Conference in the women's heptathlon at the NSAA Multi-Events Championships hosted in Valley City, N.D.
Muggli finished the heptathlon with a personal best 4,257 which currently ranks ninth in this season in the NAIA. At the end of the outdoor season the top 16 heptathlon scores will qualify for nationals. She bested her previous best by 476 points.
On day one Muggli started the heptathlon with a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, recording a time of 15.68 good for 754 points.
In the high jump she also finished third clearing 1.45-meters good for 566 points.
In the shot put she took first place recording an 11.22-meter throw earning 610 points.
To finish day one Muggli ran a 28.00 personal best in the 200-meter taking third place and 612 points.
On day two she earned second-place in the long jump with a personal best 5.19-meter jump that earned 612 points.
Muggli took third in the javelin with a 33.83-meter throw that was a personal best earning 549 points.
She closed the heptathlon with a second-place finish in the 800-meter running a 2:43.34.

Emma Muggli finished with 4,257 points in the heptathlon. Dickinson State University's Kaitlyn McColly took first with 4,682 points. Dakota State's Amelie Steins took second with 4,375 points.
