Men's Basketball to play DSU in the Semifinals of the NSAA Postseason Tournament

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University Men's Basketball team is headed to Dickinson State University for the semifinal of the NSAA Postseason Tournament. The game will be played at Scott Gymnasium on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. CT/1:00 p.m. MT.

Parent and employee passes will not be accepted at Wednesday's playoff game. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for K-12 student and senior citizens. VCSU students will be admitted free with their campus ID.
 
The Vikings are the No. 4 seed coming off a 67-64 home win over No. 5 seed Bellevue University on Wednesday Feb. 26. During that game, the Vikings were led by Tyrel Creger who put up an 18-point performance. Other key contributors were Jayden Patcha with 12 points, two blocks, and three rebounds. Lamar Grayson finished with 11 points, six assists, and two rebounds.
 
In a postgame interview when asked about their upcoming matchup Coach Montgomery said, "We just need to make sure we do all the little thing right against that basketball team." The Vikings are just one of three teams to hand No. 1 seed DSU a loss in their regular season conference campaign. In their history the Vikings have a 27-26 record against the Blue Hawks and are 5-5 in their last ten matchups with them.
