VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State University volleyball team is headed to Mayville State University to take on the Comets on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7:00 p.m.
 
The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. The event will be streamed on Mayville State University Athletics YouTube channel, and live stats will be provided on PrestoSports.

Visiting fan parking is available in the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse parking lot. Overflow parking can be found in the Al Meyer Sports Complex parking lot, which is indicated by the black circle.
 
Viking volleyball is coming off a six-set winning streak after shutting out (RV) Montana Tech at Butte, Mont., and sweeping Montana Western in Dillon, Mont. The Vikings currently sit eighth of 12 in the Frontier Conference with a 6-7 conference record, and 8-10 overall.
 
This season the Vikings have received votes in the national poll, however in the most recent poll did not receive any. Looking to get back in the conversation the Vikings defeated (RV) Montana Tech and Montana Western, who sit at seventh in the Frontier Conference standings.
 
The Mayville Comets are tenth in the standings holding a 3-10 record in conference games and 5-13 overall.
 
So far this season the Vikings have been led by a trio of offense in front totaling 496 kills. Macy Fridgen leads them with 184 kills. She is followed by Danielle Hagler and Morgan Freije with 172, and 140 kills respectively. Junior JayCee Richter leads the team with 390 digs. Hagler and Freije lead the team with 66 and 62 total blocks.
