VCSU Shooting Sports Team Secures Individual Wins at the BSC Fall Championship

BISMARCK, N.D. – Valley City State University freshman Kasey Odegaard and senior Logan Heen both won individual titles on Sept. 21 as the VCSU Shooting Sports Team delivered impressive performances at the North Dakota Fall Collegiate Championship.

Odegaard secured the Men's High Overall Score with a 173/200. Odegaard shot 88/100 in singles trap, 43/50 in doubles trap and 42/50 in handicap trap to secure the overall win.
Heen claimed victory in doubles trap, winning in a shoot-off that broke a three-way tie for first place. He was 43/50 in doubles and also posted strong numbers in the other disciplines with 88/100 in singles and 38/50 in handicap.

The North Dakota Fall Collegiate Championship was held Saturday, Sept. 21, and was hosted by Bismarck State College at the Capital City Gun Club near Bismarck, N.D. It was the first in-person tournament for the VCSU Shooting Sports Team, which just began competing as an intercollegiate club this August. The team's next tournament will be in Fargo on Oct. 5.
