Viking Football to play Dakota State University in Homecoming Matchup

VCSU football is returning from their week off after a 24-14 victory over Augsburg University on September 6th.
 
The Vikings are entering their first conference matchup against Dakota State University after stating their season 1-1 in nonconference play. The Trojans are entering this game 3-0 and 1-0 in the conference with a 16-6 win of the University of Jamestown.
 
This Homecoming matchup is set to kickoff at 4 p.m. Saturday at VCSU's Lokken Stadium. Radio coverage will be on KOVC 1490 AM. VCSU produce live video and live stats at the links below. Tickets can be purchased in advance, speeding fan entrance into the stadium.

 Record Check: Valley City State is 1-1 on the season having not played any conference games yet this season. After being ranked second in a NSAA preseason coaches' poll, the Vikings are looking to start their conference play with a victory over Dakota State. Dakota State enters the matchup 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the NSAA with a conference win over University of Jamestown.

In the second half just after a Viking turnover James Dahn stepped up and took a pick six to the endzone to extend the Vikings lead to 17-7. After the Auggies tallied a score of their own, quarter back Noah Chambers put the game away with scoring drive capped with a 4th and 12 touchdown pass completed to Jake Deutsch.
 
Last Meeting: The last matchup between the Vikings and the Trojans the Vikings took the victory with 21-14 at home performance on Oct. 21st, 2023. Starting the scoring early the Vikings held the lead from start to finish in a game with no Viking turnovers and one takeaway via a recovered Trojan fumble.
