The North Star Athletic Association announced their sixth edition of the 2024-25 Men's Basketball Players-of-the-Week Monday.
Odier Olange of Valley City State (N.D.) was chosen as the Defense Player-of-the-Week. Trey Stevens of Dickinson State (N.D.) was selected as the Offense Player-of-the-Week.
North Star Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week – Defense
Odier Olange – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6'6" – Senior – forward – St. Cloud, Minn. – Olange helped Valley City State (N.D.) to a 113-76 home victory over Trinity Bible (N.D.) in their lone game of the week. He grabbed five defensive rebounds and registered two blocked shots in the game.
North Star Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week – Offense
Trey Stevens – Dickinson State (N.D.) – 6'2" – Senior – guard – Sparks, Nev. – Stevens scored 26 points on his 8-of-15 field goals, including hitting seven 3-pointers in 14 attempts, to lead Dickinson State (N.D.) to a 90-81 road victory at Carroll (Mont.). He also pulled down five rebounds and dished out two assists for the Blue Hawks in their lone game for the week.

Valley City State (N.D.) is also 8-3 overall record this season after rolling past Trinity Bible (N.D.) 113-76 at home on Dec. 3.
Mayville State (N.D.) extended their winning streak to six games after holding off NCAA Division III Minnesota-Morris 78-73 on the road on Dec. 3. The Comets raised their overall record to 8-3.
Dakota State (S.D.) earned their second straight home victory after holding off Midland (Neb.) 73-71 on Dec. 4. The Trojans improved to 7-4 overall record.
Bellevue (Neb.) fell short on the road at Briar Cliff (Iowa) by the score of 72-69 on Dec. 4. The Bruins are 6-4 overall record on the season.
Dickinson State (N.D.) collected their second straight victory after defeating Carroll (Mont.) 90-81 on the road on Dec. 7. The Blue Hawks are 4-5 overall record.
Jamestown (N.D.) was idle last week and remained at 4-5 overall record.
Looking Ahead This Week
Dakota State (S.D.) wraps up their non-conference schedule Monday evening, hosting NCAA Division III Crown (Minn.).
The 15-game North Star Athletic Association slate officially kicks off Friday evening with Jamestown (N.D.) hosting Dickinson State (N.D.) and Mayville State (N.D.) traveling to Bellevue (Neb.).
Bellevue hosts
Valley City State (N.D.) on Saturday, while Dakota State hosts Mayville State. DaSU welcomes VCSU on Sunday.
