Sadie Hansen has earned her second-straight North Star Athletic Association Setter of the Year award and
Jayden Wilson was named Assistant Coach of the Year, the conference office announced Thursday evening at the NSAA awards ceremony hosted in Bellevue, Neb. In addition, three Vikings were named to the 2024 All-Conference teams.

Lexi Thorsgard was selected as VCSU's Champion of Character which is awarded to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the five core values of the NAIA  Champions of Character program including respect, integrity, servant leadership, sportsmanship and responsibility.

Sadie Hansen, a 5-foot-10 senior, was named NSAA Setter of the Year and 1
st Team All-Conference for the second straight season after leading the North Star with 1,018 total assists and 9.9 assists per set in 2024. The Oakes, N.D. native broke the school record for career assists this season and now totals 4,339 assists in the Viking uniform. She also totals 323 digs, 133 kills and 27 blocks for VCSU this season. Hansen recorded a season-high 55 assists in a 3-2 win over Mayville State on Sept. 25.

Macy Fridgen, a 6-foot-1 junior, has earned 1
st Team All-Conference in her first season as a Viking. The junior outside hitter ranks third in the conference with 327 total kills and ranks fourth with 3.17 kills per set. The Bismarck, N.D. native tallied a season-high 18 kills on a .302 hitting percentage against Montana Western on Oct. 11.

Morgan Nelson, a 6-foot senior, has earned 2
nd Team All-Conference for the first time in her Viking career. Nelson stepped into the middle blocker position in her senior campaign and totals 195 kills and 80 blocks for VCSU. The Argusville, N.D. native is tied for third in the conference with 0.78 blocks per set. Nelson ranks third in VCSU Volleyball history with 0.69 blocks per set in her Viking career, and tied the single-match record with 11 blocks in a 3-2 win over Mayville on Sept. 25.
