VCSU Volleyball opens NSAA play Wednesday at Dickinson

The Valley City State volleyball team opens conference play Wednesday at Dickinson State as the Vikings look to improve upon its fifth place NSAA finish from last season.

VCSU has already shown promise this season, opening the regular season with an 11-3 record, which is its best start since the 1996 season when VCSU started with an 11-0 record. Already this season, the Vikings have defeated No. 14 Ottawa (Kan.) 3-1, and most recently defeated (RV) Dakota Wesleyan 3-0.

VCSU is one of several North Star teams off to a hot start this season. Viterbo is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA with a 13-2 record and Bellevue is 11-1 to rank No. 13 in the nation. Waldorf has an 8-1 record to open the 2023 season.

The Vikings will travel to play Dickinson State, who currently has an 0-12 record on the season. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT in Dickinson. Live video and stats will be available.
