Brandon edges Viking men in overtime

Six different Vikings scored in double figures Friday afternoon, but it wasn't quite enough as the VCSU men's basketball team dropped a high-scoring affair in overtime.

Brandon University made its first five 3-pointers of the game and sank 17 3's overall as the hot-shooting Bobcats defeated VCSU 108-105 on Friday. Brandon University led 52-47 at halftime but the Vikings would rally back in the second half and the teams ended regulation tied at 95-95 before Brandon pulled off the overtime win.

Hunter Lyman posted his second straight double-double to open the season, tallying 15 points and 15 rebounds Friday.
