The VCSU football team is on the road Saturday, traveling to Mayville State for a rematch with the Comets.
Â
The two teams met back on Sept. 23 in Valley City as the Vikings won a double overtime thriller. Freshman kickerÂ
Andrew Nielsen calmly drilled the go-ahead 24-yard field in the second overtime, and then VCSU's defense sealed the victory by stonewalling the Comets inside the 10-yard line.
Â
Saturday's game will be played under much different weather conditions as Mayville received 3-4 inches of snow on Thursday night and Saturday temperatures will hover around 30 degrees.
