ABERDEEN, S.D. – Valley City State fell in three sets to Presentaiton College 30-28, 25-16, and 25-16.

Presentation took an early 14-7 lead over Valley City State in set one but the Vikings would regain some fire after a Katie Juarez kill. The run would bring the Vikings to a tie with the Saints at 19. The two would trade leads for the remainder of the match as the Saints took set one, 30-28.

The second set began close with Presentation up 7-6 when a Viking error would allow the Saints to take a 9-2 run. Presentation would carry their momentum through set two, winning 25-16.

The third set found the Saints hitting their best of the day at .348 percent, taking them to a 25-16 win and sweep of the Vikings.

Valley City State falls to 5-19 on the season and 1-12 in the North Star. Presentation improves their record to 12-16 overall and 6-7 in the conference.

The Viking offense was led by Katie Juarez who tallied 11 kills while Caitlyn Fischbach added five. Charlotte Huschka tallied 10 digs and two service aces for the Vikings.

Alexa Walby and Reagan Ingstad each tallied 11 assists while Ingstad added three aces.

Haylee Biel led the Saints with eight kills and three blocks.  Laura Babckock tallied 14 digs. Brooke Swanson tallied 18 assists and added 11 digs for the Saints. Allisen Nielsen added 18 assists Saturday.
