Box Score The Valley City State men's basketball team took the victory over Trinity Bible College 83-61, with Rashad Satahoo recording a double-double on the Viking's home court. The Vikings once again have moved back to the .500 mark improving their record to 4-4.
The Vikings only lead the Lions by three point at half 40-37. VCSU took the lead right away in the first period, but only maintained it through the first three minutes of the half before turning it over to the Lions. Trinity Bible held the lead for the majority of the half, while the Vikings rummaged to obtain consistency in their shooting. In the second half Valley City State shot at 53 percent and outscored Trinity Bible 43-24, as they only shot at 33 percent.
Jayden Ferguson and Rashad Satahoo led the way for the Vikings. Ferguson recorded 25 points and eight rebounds, while Satahoo recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds. Ellwood Ellenson also scored in double digits as he put up 14 points, while Austin Dunbar finished with eight. Satahoo and Jason Ralph both recorded 4 assists.
VCSU finished at shooting 50 percent overall and went 12-for-17 from the line. Trinity Bible shot at 35 percent overall, and only went 7-for-23 at the free throw line. The Lions forced 10 Vikings turnovers while only committing seven of their own.
The Vikings dominated the Lions on the glass. VCSU collected 42 rebounds throughout the game, and Trinity Bible only boarded 29.
Leading the Lion's offense with 28 points, Aaron Stemen was the only Trinity Bible player to score in double digits. The next top scorers were Jamal Williams with eight points, and Antione Vesey with six. A. Stemen also led the Lions in rebounds with eight. Friscoe Erdahl recorded four assists.
