Viking men fall to Mayville State

Mayville State's men's basketball team completed a season sweep of VCSU on Wednesday, downing the Vikings 68-59 in Valley City.

After trailing 32-19 at halftime, the Vikings stormed out of the gates in the second half with a 20-6 run, taking a 39-38 lead. But Mayville State had the answer, ripping off the next 10 points to build a 48-39 lead they would not give up again.

Valley City State drops to 11-17 overall and 1-8 in conference play. The Comets won their fifth straight game and are now 17-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
